I hear this word used a lot, but it's never really explained. As I try to define maturity from my own experience, I find that I come up with definitions that are lacking in some respect or another. At times like these, I go back to basics and check the dictionary. It is interesting to note that doing an internet search for maturity yields a few religious sites.

The dictionary defines maturity as:

1. The state or quality of being fully grown or developed.

Hmm, not much help there. Perhaps the religious websites will provide something of interest.
